Founded in 1987, CHIHON began as a precision machining and industrial component manufacturer in Taiwan. Through decades of manufacturing experience and continuous investment, the company gradually evolved into a professional brake system manufacturer serving customers worldwide.
Over nearly four decades, we have continuously invested in engineering development, manufacturing capability, quality management, and product innovation. Through stable quality, reliable supply, and long-term partnerships, YDL has expanded from Taiwan's automotive aftermarket to global OEM, OES, AM, OBM, and ODM markets.
Today, YDL supports customers across more than 30 countries, providing brake discs, brake drums, and customized braking solutions for a wide range of passenger, commercial, and performance vehicle applications.
Our Journey
1987 — Company Founded
Chihon Machinery Co., Ltd. was established in Taipei, Taiwan, beginning with metal hardware processing, precision machining, and industrial component manufacturing.
1987–1995 — Building Manufacturing Foundations
During the early years, YDL focused on precision-machined components for industrial automation and equipment applications. This period established the company's foundation in manufacturing technology, quality control, and production management.
1995–2005 — Entering the Automotive Brake Industry
As demand for automotive replacement parts continued to grow, YDL expanded into brake disc and brake drum manufacturing. Continuous investment in production equipment and engineering capability strengthened the company's position within the automotive aftermarket.
2005–2015 — Expanding Product Coverage
YDL steadily expanded its brake disc and brake drum product range to support a growing number of passenger and commercial vehicle applications. During this period, the YDL brand gained strong recognition throughout Taiwan's automotive aftermarket.
2015–Present — Global Manufacturing Partnerships
Building on decades of manufacturing experience, YDL expanded cooperation with OEM, OES, AM, OBM, and ODM customers worldwide. Today, our products are exported to more than 30 countries and support over 1,000 vehicle applications across global markets.
